Founder

Marc Nuttle

Marc Nuttle’s professional career spans law, government, politics, business, and journalism, and has largely been driven by critical events in history.

In 1974, the Federal Election Commission was established to address the aftermath of the resignation of Richard M. Nixon from the Presidency of the United States. Marc, fresh out of law school, was charged by then Oklahoma Senator Dewey F. Bartlett to advise and counsel members of the United States Senate “how to run for office and not go to jail.” Ultimately, Marc became legal counsel to 15 U.S. Senators and 45 Congressmen.

This personal representation led to federal committee assignments covering Marc’s true love, international government policy and economics. Marc was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to serve on the Industrial Policy Advisory Committee for Trade & Policy matters for the U.S. government. In that capacity, he wrote and advised the Reagan Administration on international trade and General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs (GATT) for six years.

During this tenure, Marc was selected to represent Dr. Milton Friedman, Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, before the Senate Judiciary Committee on matters of fiscal policy (balanced budget protocol). This experience led to invitations to advise foreign governments.

In 1989, the Bulgarian government invited Marc to participate in the drafting of a new constitution. He addressed the full sitting body of the Constitutional Convention. He then advised on the successful national referendum to pass the new constitution into law. Marc then further advised the new republic on the setting up of an independent Bulgarian government.

In 1991, Marc served on the committee to elect Boris Yeltsin to the presidency of the Russian Federation. He represented President Yeltsin before the Soviet Supreme Court, defending the campaign against the Communist Central Committee’s efforts to illegally interfere in the presidential election. In one of a very few cases, the Soviet Supreme Court ruled against the Central Committee in favor of President Yeltsin, a private citizen.

Later in 1991, Marc represented the Ukraine in its successful election for independence from the U.S.S.R. He then advised Ukraine for three years to help establish the new government.

In 1989, following the Tiananmen Square crisis, Marc was dispatched by President George Herbert Walker Bush to aid China in the reorganization of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Through this commission, Marc carried diplomatic pouches directly from the White House to President Jiang Zemin and Chairman Deng Xiaoping. Marc helped orchestrate simultaneous trading of stocks on the stock exchanges of Hong Kong/Taiwan/Shanghai.

As part of a team sponsored by the International Republican Institute, Marc advised on Federal Reserve policy for South Sudan during the Sudanese peace talks in 2004. Further, Marc has advised Guatemala on trade and currency matters.

In between foreign assignments, Marc continued practicing political law. He has advised a federal or gubernatorial campaign in all 50 states and U.S. protectorates. He has been senior advisor to several presidential campaigns, chairing Pat Robertson’s campaign in 1988. He was National Field Counsel for President Reagan’s 1984 reelection. In 2000, Marc served as part of the legal team in the Bush-Gore Florida ballot recount.

Marc has published articles in the Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, and Campaigns & Elections. He has been interviewed by several national newspapers and appeared on ABC, CBS and NBC nightly news. Marc wrote a book in 2008 entitled Moment of Truth wherein he referenced the coming financial meltdown of 2008 and 2009.

Marc wrote a weekly newsletter entitled the Nuttle Report for twelve years addressing geopolitical and economic events as analyzed through a spiritual worldview. The report’s subscribers were worldwide.

Professionally, Marc has engaged in real estate, international trade, and financial ventures. He is currently participating in the design and structure of global supply chain realignment following the COVID pandemic.

Marc has served on numerous state and national boards and commissions. He most recently chaired Oklahoma Governor Kevin Sitt’s Transition Team. He currently serves as Chairman of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.

Marc has been awarded the Eagle Scout Lifetime Award, his fraternity’s Beta Theta Pi Alumni Award, and received a special commendation from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for efforts of economic development. The one award that Marc holds dear is the Grady Penniger Award for highest grade point average of a varsity Po-Hi wrestler in 1965.

Marc Nuttle was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Marc attended, and graduated from, the University of Oklahoma and the OU College of Law.

Marc is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Ann Monsour. They have two daughters and seven grandchildren: Marissa Adler, husband Tommy, and children Tripp, Alex, and Lola; Marci Hartsock, husband Blake, and children Anna, Jade, Elizabeth, and Emma.
